The musical excerpts included in this volume may serve both as solfège excercises and as dictations. They are organized into four chapters, according to the criteria of texture (from 1 to 4 parts). However, within each chapter the excercises display different levels of difficulty, due to the diversity in various musical aspects, like melodic structure, scales or harmony. The provenience of the exercises is equally diverse; the collection includes some excerpts from classical music along with some folk tunes and some originals composed by the book’s authors specifically for educational purposes.
