This article presents an analysis of Isaac Alb\u00e9niz\u2019s Evocaci\u00f3n, highlighting its significant utility for explaining aspects of early twentieth-century non-avant-garde musical thought \u2014 with varying pedagogical depths, from pre-academic and bachelor-level students to master\u2019s degree students. As an exceptional example of Alb\u00e9niz\u2019s synthesis of traditional Spanish folk elements with the Western academic tradition, the transparent structures of the Evocaci\u00f3n render it an excellent classroom tool.
